Over the last couple of weeks Irish Theatre Institute (ITI) has hosted sessions for independent theatre artists and workers, addressing some of the issues that have arisen for the sector during government restrictions. These sessions have been hosted online as part of ITI’s ACCELERATE programme.

Next week we will look at recording audio at home with Aonghus Óg McAnally, Actor and Artistic Director of Rise Productions and the person behind the extremely popular Irish Theatre Podcast.

DO YOU NEED OR WANT TO MAKE AUDIO CONTENT FROM HOME?

If so, this Group Information Clinic will offer some tips and guidance on recording audio from home including:

WHAT EQUIPMENT WILL YOU NEED? Sourcing the right equipment for your budget, including working with what you already have.

HOW DO YOU CREATE A PROFESSIONAL ENVRIONMENT AT HOME? Acoustic treatment for the space where you’ll record.

HOW TO EDIT YOUR RECORDING? Basic overview of how to construct your audio content.

WHERE CAN YOUR AUDIO BE SHARED? Contexts where capturing and sharing audio content can be of benefit.

Aonghus is creator and producer of the Irish Theatre Podcast, 52 episodes of the podcast were recorded with interviews from Ireland’s leading theatre voices. Aonghus will join ITI for a clinic focussed on Audio Content Creation.

Come and join us.
