ACCELERATE: Rights and Contracts

This information session will give independent theatre artists an overview on rights and contracts, led by Andrea Martin, MediaLawyer.

This 90 minute session will take place online on Wednesday 28th April, 11am with the aim of giving an understanding of the basic principles of copyright and contracts (including moral rights and performer’s rights), assignment of rights / granting of licences, contract implications and legal issues raised by creative collaborations.

About Andrea Martin

For over 20 years, Andrea Martin has been one of Ireland’s leading media and entertainment lawyers.  She founded MediaLawyer Solicitors in 2003, one of Ireland’s handful of dedicated media and entertainment law firms. Her experience spans television, radio, film, publishing, online media and music. She wrote the popular handbook on Media Law in Ireland entitled Quick Win Media Law – Your Top 100 Questions Answered (published by Oak Tree Press). Since 1st January of this year, Andrea has taken on the role of consultant to the firm she founded. She has a particular interest in developing legal and business resources for smaller scale producers of creative work.
