Practice Sharing with Fatih De Vos

28 Jun 2023 to 28 Jun 2023
11am to 1pm
Garter Lane Arts Centre

About the practice sharing:

Fatih De Vos is a Belgian rapper, writer, sociologist and youth worker from Ghent, Belgium. After bridging worlds for years through his art, words and educational work, he now bridges the sea to visit Ireland for the very first time. During his week in Waterford, Fatih is interested to meet locals who would be happy to exchange some thoughts about writing, arts and social engagement, youth work, and hip hop/slam poetry over some tea and baklava. He will also be talking about his own practices and might even throw a rap song in between.

About the programme:

Fatih is taking part in the first Gap Exchange programme, organised by Irish Theatre Institute and local partners including Viernulvier in Ghent. He has been paired with Waterford artist Deirdre Dwyer. Deirdre is hosting Fatih while in Waterford and introducing him to the city and the local arts community. Fatih has already hosted Deirdre in Ghent. Gap Exchange is funded by the Arts Council of Ireland.
