On Wednesday 8th April Irish Theatre Institute (ITI) hosted an Information Clinic with Peter Daly, Actor and Chartered Accountant, on Zoom for independent artists and theatre workers. A recording of the Information Clinic is available below.
This information clinic focussed on Social Welfare measures, in particular the COVID-19 Pandemic Unemployment Payment. Issues discussed included the Pandemic Unemployment Payment, its implications for freelance arts workers and self-employed artists, and its impact on eligibility for Arts Council awards.
ITI provides support and advice to the independent theatre sector through one to one Information Clinics. ITI’s team is currently providing Information Clinics online via video calls/email and telephone. Further details on these Information Clinics can be found on our website here.
