
We are delighted to announce the appointment of Niamh Murtagh as the new Programme Manager for Irish Theatre Institute.
With over a decade of experience in the arts sector, Niamh has established herself as a passionate advocate for artists and their development. Most recently, in her role as Programme & Artistic Support Coordinator at Dublin Fringe Festival, she coordinated their artist support strand FRINGE LAB, overseeing initiatives such as the Break New Ground Bursary, Resident Artists Programme, as well as providing vital resources for emerging artists.
Niamh’s commitment to fostering creativity and inclusivity is evident in her track record, balancing logistical, financial, and well-being needs—she has left a meaningful impact on the Dublin Fringe Festival team and community. Her belief in the power of theatre to inspire, challenge, and connect aligns perfectly with ITI’s mission. Niamh was recently named a Clore Emerging Cultural Leader for 2023/2024, a recognition of her growing influence and dedication to original, forward-thinking work.
