We are delighted to announce that David Horan, Artistic Director of Bewley’s Café Theatre, is giving four online playwriting workshops to our Six in the Attic and Virtual Attic, and Bewley’s Café Theatre’s PERCOLATE, playwrights and theatre makers.
Over the four online workshops, topics such as dramatic structure, action and character will be covered. The workshops are aimed at supporting writers beyond the first/second play stage of their development and will support writers who might be encountering a limit to their working approach.
The first of the four workshops will begin on Monday 8 April, and the following workshops will take place weekly throughout the month of April.
Six in the Attic
Six in the Attic is Irish Theatre Institute’s key artist development programme providing artists with the space and resources to create and develop work. The year-long programme supports a community of playwrights and theatre makers to engage, explore, develop, debate, and collaborate on their projects and practice, both in-person and online.
PERCOLATE
PERCOLATE is a development programme for playwrights and theatre makers with an ambition to raise the level of discussion and engagement with new dramatic writing in Ireland.
