ITI’s 7th Information Toolbox, took place on September 14th in Wood Quay Venue. This key networking event, was produced specifically with the needs of new and emerging theatre and dance companies/artists in mind. The event is presented to coincide with the ABSOLUT Fringe in which many of the participants are producing work.
Information Toolbox provides an ideal environment for new and emerging Irish companies/artists to promote their shows, pitch work to venues and festivals and begin dialogue with key funding agencies and support organisations. This event also provides participants, whose work shows potential to tour abroad, with an opportunity to meet with international organisations and theatre/dance presenters. This year presenters came from Carlow, Cork, Galway, Dublin, Kerry, Leitrim, Louth, Meath and Tipperary as well as from the UK and USA.
At the 2012 Information Toolbox 51 artists/companies met with 44 arts organisations (including 6 International presenters) across more than 700 meetings. There were 120 participants in all.
