ITI is delighted to announce that Eláine Donnelly has been appointed ITI’s new General Manager and will take up her position in early 05.

Eláine joins ITI from Roscommon Arts Centre, a multi-disciplinary venue, where she was Marketing & Development Manager for six and a half years, including one year as Acting Director. During this time she forged strong relationships with many theatre production companies and independent theatre artists and has an excellent understanding of arts management and audience development. She is a graduate of NUIG where she completed her H. Dip in Arts Administration and subsequently worked with the Galway Arts Festival and Town Hall Theatre.

Siobhán Bourke and Jane Daly, ITI’s Co-Directors said they are “absolutely delighted to welcome Eláine to ITI as our new General Manager. She is an ideal addition to the team, bringing detailed knowledge and a number of years’ arts management experience to the running of 17 Eustace Street along with a keen understanding of artists’ needs, the logistics of national touring and the challenges of building audiences for theatre in Ireland.  All of us at ITI are very much looking forward to working with her in a role which is crucial to our organisation and the services we offer”.

Eláine said: “I am delighted to join ITI’s team and very excited to become involved with this significant support and resource organisation at such an invigorating time in Irish theatre.
I will undoubtedly miss the many friends and patrons I have worked with and come to know through my years at Roscommon Arts Centre and would like to thank my colleagues for the support and opportunities they have provided me with during my time there.
I very much look forward to meeting and working with them again in the future”.

Averyl Dooher, Director of Roscommon Arts Centre added her congratulations saying, “Eláine Donnelly has been an invaluable member of our staff at Roscommon Arts Centre for the last six years. The Centre’s continued growth and success is, in a large part, due to Eláine’s dedication and commitment and for that we will be forever grateful. This is a bittersweet time for us – Eláine will be a huge loss to our team and we will miss working alongside her, but we are also extremely proud of her and wish her all the best in her new position with ITI”.
