Irish Theatre Institute Six in the Attic (SITA) and SITA Alumni artists, and ELEVATOR producers are enjoying a particularly busy Dublin festival season this year with an unprecedented number of practitioners involved in productions across both festivals.
ITI’s Six in the Attic provides theatre artists with space, time and practical resources coupled with the mentoring and advice services needed to explore, develop and make work. Through ongoing support and mentoring ITI offers these artists expert advice on a range of topics from networking and touring, funding schemes, financial management, artistic planning, and career development. On completing the SITA cycle artists are welcomed into the Alumni group, with access to ongoing mentoring and career supports, as well as project management expertise.
ELEVATOR, a new programme to support and mentor producers, was first introduced in 2017. This partnership with the Town Hall Theatre Galway offers six producers based in Dublin and Galway the training to develop their expertise, skills, and networks at a crucial point in their careers.
