Irish Theatre Institute is delighted to announce the awarding of Community Heritage Grant Scheme 2023 funding from The Heritage Council of Ireland for the Preservation and Illumination of PLAYOGRAPHYIreland. 

This project will ensure that necessary and urgent work can be undertaken on PLAYOGRAPHYIreland with our Web Developers (DotDash). This will also include a new and exciting section of the website called ‘Illuminating the Database’. This pilot will look at the addition of photographs to the database on a limited number of entries. The addition of photographs will expand the relevance of Playography to set and costume designers, enhance the experience all all users, and deepen the historic and contemporary significance of the database.
