PRIME: CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD) FOR OLDER ACTORS – DAY 4

PRIME: Continuing Professional Development (CPD) For Older Actors is a new initiative from Irish Theatre Institute, in association with Age & Opportunity’s Bealtaine Festival, which is designed to provide career supports and training opportunities for the older theatre practitioner.

Irish Theatre Institute’s pilot PRIME programme continued this month with participants meeting on 10th June. The programme focusses on career supports and training opportunities for the older theatre practitioner by drawing on the expertise of professionals from the theatre and business sectors as well as inviting facilitators to lead physical sessions with the participants in areas such as yoga, voice coaching and the Alexander Technique.

The PRIME schedule for Day 4 included:

Yoga: Developing your own routine      

Kathy Scott, yoga practitioner and co-founder of The Yoga Salon

A gentle practical session incorporating take-home introductory yoga techniques and a session in mindfulness.

Microsoft Office: Your Quick Guide to Shortcuts and Top Tips   

Facilitated by ITI General Manager and Admin and Events Assistant

A guide to tips and shortcuts in using Microsoft Office, focusing on Word and Excel
