Announcing two exciting team changes within Irish Theatre Institute

We are delighted to announce two exciting team changes within Irish Theatre Institute.

Katherine Murphy moves from the role of Artist Supports & Playography Manager to Programme Manager.

Katherine has worked with Irish Theatre Institute for over six years. She began as Administrator before becoming Playography and Artist Support Manager in 2023. She has worked across several major ITI Projects such as coordinating research for the landmark Speak Up: A Call for Change Report, editing and curating What is a Play for the 20th Anniversary of PLAYOGRAPHYIreland, as well as overseeing all of ITI’s websites move to WordPress.

Kate Heffernan moves from the role of Playography Researcher to Playography Editor.

Kate is a playwright and theatre artist who has also worked as a producer and designer for over 15 years. She has been working as part-time Playography Researcher for Irish Theatre Institute since 2020.

Kate has worked alongside Katherine on several major ITI Projects, including What is a Play for the 20th Anniversary of PLAYOGRAPHYIreland, and the migration of the Playography database to WordPress. Kate is now stepping into the part-time role of Playography Editor to continue the work of developing and illuminating the archive.

Katherine and Kate move into their new roles in April 2024.
