UPCOMING DEADLINES!

There are several important deadlines in the month of March; here are some dates to take note of.

Show in a Bag 2012 – Wednesday March 7th

Show in a Bag is an artist development initiative of Dublin Fringe Festival, Fishamble: The New Play Company and Irish Theatre Institute to resource theatre makers and actors.

Culture Ireland Grant Applications – Thursday March 15th

Please note any artists or companies seeking support for productions in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe or inclusion in Culture Ireland’s Edinburgh showcases must also apply by this deadline.

ABSOLUT Fringe 2012 – Friday March 16th

The theme for the 2012 festival this year is Creative Disruption. Playful Protest. Joyful Abandon. You must apply online and submit supporting documentation.

SOLSTICE Call for Submissions & TITLE Residency – Friday March 16th

Running from the 27th June to the 1st of July, SOLSTICE is a youth-led initiative created entirely by young people as part of Cork Midsummer Festival and has put out a call for submissions.
SOLSTICE will also be offering a month long residency in Cork and mentorship by a key figure from the Irish Arts scene to five lucky young Irish practitioners and one European artist. All six artists as part of the This Is Tough Love Everybody (TITLE) residency will live and work in Cork for the whole month of June and will be given the opportunity to showcase the work they develop at Solstice as part of Cork Midsummer Festival.

Dublin Theatre Festival, Play On – Tuesday March 20th 

The Dublin Theatre Festival has launched a new playwright initative Play On, led by Graham Whybrow, former literary manager of the Royal Court Theatre. The Festival has put out an open call for applications as it plans to present readings of a selection of new plays and works-in-progress in October 2012.

Arts Council Project Awards – Thursday March 29th
